One tiny paperwork monster steals the only chart that matters, and suddenly Saint Maybe Medical Center discovers that bureaucracy has tiny legs.
Paperwork threat level: tiny and green
At 8:11 a.m., the most important chart in the hospital develops a pair of green hands, a criminal smile, and a personal vendetta against legible handwriting.
Dr. Stat points down the records hallway and says, “We need that chart.” The chart is already halfway to Radiology, riding a rolling stool like a getaway vehicle.
Intern Panic attempts to help by grabbing more forms. This is the exact opposite of helping, but very much on brand.
Faces safe · no crop tragedy
Dr. Stat spots the missing chart and immediately delivers a diagnosis: felony goblin activity.
Nurse No-Nonsense has already alphabetized the crisis and color-coded the suspect.
Intern Panic creates a second paperwork disaster while trying to solve the first.

A file drawer rattles. A chart slides out. Two tiny green hands appear. The legal department feels a chill.
Dr. Stat launches the chase. Nurse No-Nonsense does not run; the hallway simply moves her forward out of respect.
Intern Panic asks if anyone has seen Form 12-B. The Chart Goblin has. It is using Form 12-B as a cape.
Two staff members reach for the same label maker. Their hands touch. The copier jams from jealousy.
The Chart Goblin pauses on a rolling stool, raises the stolen chart, and squeaks something that sounds legally binding.
Nurse No-Nonsense stamps one form with such force that the goblin drops three charts, two pens, and one mysterious cafeteria soup coupon.
The goblin is smiling
Unfortunately, it returns with tiny footprints, dramatic bite marks, and a handwritten addendum: “Please resubmit in triplicate.”
Hospital security describes the suspect as “small, green, fast, and weirdly familiar with compliance language.”
